Our Story
Why We Exist
Let's Move US is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and the first comprehensive adaptive sports and recreation discovery platform in the United States. It was inspired by the extraordinary lengths people with disabilities, and their families go to in order to find adaptive sports, the transformative benefits they provide, and the dedication of adaptive sports leaders nationwide.
Over 77 million Americans with disabilities are left on the sidelines — not because opportunities don't exist, but because community-based adaptive sports are hard to find. Somewhere, a little girl with muscle weakness starts adaptive horseback riding and gains the strength to stand for the first time. A veteran in a wheelchair finds purpose competing in sled hockey. Participation is also linked to higher employment and career advancement. These programs change lives, but only for those fortunate enough to find them.
Knowledge of programs is the single largest barrier, and the number one request is a central searchable platform, yet none exists for any state. Let's Move US was built to close that gap, by providing the technology and infrastructure so everyone can benefit and communities can come together.
Continuing to Move
We launched in New Jersey with 250+ programs and are growing. New York and Connecticut are next, with nationwide expansion planned by 2028. We are committed to building a fully accessible, WCAG AAA-compliant platform, continuously improving the user experience through AI, innovation, and, most importantly, the feedback of our community.
